ECO-FRIENDLY “PLATINUM COLLECTION” RELEASED BY EMI MUSIC CANADA

October 30th, marked the release of EMI Music Canada’s Platinum Collection - a brand new Canadian originated series of releases housed in eco-friendly packaging.

The Platinum Collection is a new multi-genre series of CD’s that highlights some of the biggest artists from the EMI, Capitol and Virgin labels. Al Green, Blondie, Chet Baker, Crowded House, Fats Domino, George Thorogood, Glen Campbell, Kenny Rogers, MC Hammer, Miles Davis, Nat King Cole, Paul Anka, Robert Palmer, The Band, The Hollies, The Northern Pikes, The Powder Blues and The Stray Cats are just some of the artists featured in the series launch. New titles will be added to the collection twice a year.

Each edition of the Platinum Collection contains the artist’s original hits, fresh artwork and an easily identifiable and collectible look - a great introductory title for the casual fan.

The Platinum Collection releases are packaged in 100% recycled paperboard and the discs are housed in PaperFoam trays. PaperFoam is completely made of natural renewable materials and is 100% biodegradable and recyclable with paper. PaperFoam trays are carbon friendly (90% less carbon dioxide vs. jewel cases).
